Stage 3 Canberra trip

Week 2 saw Stage 3 travelling to Canberra to see some important and exciting places. They travelled by plane from Ballina to Sydney, then by bus (with their amazing bus driver called Mick). It was a long and tiring journey to their accommodation, eventually arriving at 10:30 at night and heading straight to bed. Thanks to our amazing staff and parents for helping make this a memorable trip for everyone.

Students visited Parliament House and met with Mr Kevin Hogan (Federal Member for Page). They toured the Houses of Parliament and learnt about democracy.

Students visited the Australian War Memorial, taking part in the moving Last Post ceremony.

Khyren and Rebecca laid a wreath honouring the fallen.

Students also visited the Australian Institute of Sport, The Australian Museum, The Royal Mint, Questacon and the super popular laser tag!
